Head Defence

"Well..."

submission: Head Defence

The technicals of the game are well done, which is really the reason for the seven. The technicals, such as the graphics, menus, controls, etc. They all work how they are suppose to and look good for the type of game.

My only complaint is that, like everyone else, I found the game difficult if it was on anything besides "easy". Perhaps the castle should be spaces out more so that you have a chance to change the direction of a bob after it is first pushed on way or another. Because with a few rare exceptions it is impossible to intercept a bmb after the initial push one way or another.

The game play itself is lacking but like I said the technical ability required to make the game was good.

Endless Zombie Rampage

"I am left in awe of this game"

date: April 11, 2009

This game is absolutely amazing in terms of entertainment value. As it is I have no complaints or problems with the how the game plays, very very well done. But...
If you decide to do a second game (which I think many people besides myself would love to see) I would suggest a couple things...

A mode where you didn't have a base to protect and instead the zombies came from all around perhaps would be interesting. It could be done in ways with upgrades between or perhaps like survival mode in this game, or both even.

A weapon that "draws" the zombies to you for base mode perhaps so you can draw them off your base in a pinch

If you keep the laser, I'm going to mimic earlier comments, and suggest it would be more useful either one with more shots before reloading, or two a lower reload time

A second game would be awesome with more weapons available to use, though that might require a new way to scroll through them.

And finally perhaps if you wanted to adding in "achievements" could be interesting, though the concept is getting a little overdone.

Still, this game is amazing and a follow up would just be icing on the cake. Fun game, definitly worth killing an hour or two on. I would HIGHLY recommend taking at least one try at each mode. GREAT JOB!

8. It kept me interested long enough to max out (to level five at least) all the upgrades.
Pros - Interesting concept and challenging early on
Cons - The biggest con to me was once I got my accuracy and velocity up to level three on each, the difficult just dropped to almost nothing. Once I had maxed them out and gotten a more direct fire feel to the game as a result, I never had a problem. And once I had everything maxed out it just got really mundane after that. It seems to me the difficultly at later stages needs to be ramped up in some way
Overall - Worth killing some time on, but not a game that you're going to play for hours on end in my opinion, but still, a decent game.

Very good defense game, not to hard but not obnoxiously easy either. Killed about a hour and a half on it without getting bored with the game so that's always a good sign in my book. So again, congratulations on a job well done!

Ultimate Defense 2

"Good game"

submission: Ultimate Defense 2

It was a good game but like a couple people have said there is room for improvement.
1) I don't know if I'm just extra lucky or something, but I didn't have too big of a problem with the slots. While I didn't win every time I won about five or six times on a single playthrough. But I think some of the other suggestions are good, such as giving bonus items or some such. Perhaps instead of the treasure chest giving you a rode of slots they could just be bonus gold or some such.
2) At first I had trouble getting through the levels but then I got the hang on the game and found it to be a decent challenge. But I agree that once you are able to unlock dragons it makes the game far too easy. If you were going to make a third I'd suggest either bring the dragons strength down or making the enemies harder. Or perhaps just change their range to one row rather than two?
3) I also liked how you had "boss" levels in your first one, and while there were a few boss monsters in this one it wasn't quite the same thing.
4) I liked one person's suggestion of "long term" benefits. I don't think "hero" units would fit into your game but perhaps the other suggestion of bonuses that effect a particular type of unit throughout the rest of the game could be good. That would add incentive to keep using other units beside the dragon as your progress.

Overall it was a good game that I enjoyed playing through. If you decide to make a third one I would most assuredly check it out. Good luck!

Funny as hell when you get the "Rapid Fire" upgrade for the rocket launcher....awesome game, don't see how you could improve on this honestly. Great Job!

It entertained me for about 45 seconds...I suppose that is something. A couple were worth a chuckle or two but overall just seemed minimal time and effort went into it. Animations weren't horrible in terms of quality but could of used longer ones on some.

But needs some kind of system to restart levels rather then going back to the beginning. It's painfully annoying to spend 10-20 minutes on the first level only to mess up on the second level and have to redo the first one again. Other than that really nice job.
